Trust calls for responsibility

The Fund’s work requires clear responsibilities, careful consideration of requests and transparent records. This page explains the main principles of its organisation.

Diocesan organisation

The appeal to Parish Councils provides for the Fund to operate as an office of the Diocese of Great Britain and Western Europe of ROCOR. Its structure includes a seven-member Council chaired by the Ruling Bishop and a smaller three-person Board.

The Council deliberates, exercises oversight and reports to the Diocesan Assembly and clergy. The Board carries out operational work and day-to-day administration, reporting to the Council. Rules for collecting contributions and distributing assistance are to be established collectively.

Responsibility in everyday work

Operational work covers several areas. Website access is limited to assigned tasks and does not replace the formal authority of Fund staff.

Parish coordination

Reviewing parish connections, arranging access and supporting parish contacts.

Assistance requests

Restricted access, clarification of circumstances and direct contact with the applicant.

Records and reporting

Recording receipts and their sources, and preparing aggregate figures.

What should be available

The appeal provides for detailed financial reporting through the Diocese on the Fund’s income and expenditure. This is a principle of accountability to those participating in the work.

Website summary figures and illustrative overviews do not replace approved financial reports. Personal information in requests, including medical and family circumstances, is not part of public reporting.

For organisational enquiries

Use the Fund’s contact form for official correspondence and to confirm the relevant staff contact. Creating a website account does not itself confer an official appointment.
